Symon Wysdom's House, Burford, Oxfordshire
This building has the inscription "Symon Wysdom Alderman/the first founder of the Schole/in Burford gave these tenemenes/Wythe the other to the same schole/in an. 1576/all laude and prays be given/to God therefore Amen." Simon Wisdom was a prominent 16th century businessman. He seems to have been involved in a lot of public activities between 1530-1585.
