Stone Railway Station, Station Road, Stone, Staffordshire

This Jacobean-styled railway station was built in 1848. The station was opened for passengers along the Norton bridge platforms. Stone was also an important staging post on the London-Holyhead and London-Carlisle stage coach routes.
