School, Hadham Road, Standon, Hertfordshire

This timber framed and brick building was built in the 1500s. It is said to have belonged to the Knights Hospitallers, who, as rectors and lords of the manor of Standon Friars, may have had a courthouse here. It was used as a school house for the village. The school was founded before 1612.
