Ruislip Station, Ruislip, Greater London

Ruislip Station, its footbridge and signal box were built in 1904, for the Harrow and Uxbridge Railway. The bridge dates from 1904 but was moved to its present site in 1928 when the Up platform building was also built. The line was worked from the beginning by the Metropolitan Railway. They took over the Harrow and Uxbridge company in 1905 and converted the line to electric traction. It became a stop on the Piccadilly Line in 1910 and came under the control of the London Passenger Transport Board in 1933.
