Rudham Grange Farm Barn, West Rudham, Norfolk

This barn was built in the late 1700s. It was built for the Raynham Estate. It was extended in c1800, the late 1800s and early 1900s. The barn is one of the largest to survive in Norfolk. The provision of 4 threshing floors indicates the high output of this extensive and progressive farm, and the need for plenty of stabling for working horses. The farm was visited in c1804 by Arthur Young, a noted agricultural writer and author. He was impressed by the threshing machine with a granary above.
