Pershore Bridge, Pershore, Worcestershire

Pershore Bridge was probably built in the late 15th century, then remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries. Records tell us that the central arch was enlarged by William Sandys c1635 when the Avon was made navigable from Tewkesbury to Stratford via Pershore, and that the bridge was further repaired/remodelled after damage in the Civil War.
