Oxford Street, Westminster, London

With the hustle and bustle of stylish shoppers looking for the latest fashions, office workers on their breaks, buses displaying a range advertising, and street vendors selling various foods to be eaten on-the-hoof, this view of Oxford Street differs little from any picture taken today. From the accounts of Dickens it seems that counterfeit goods and pickpockets were no less common either in Victorian London.
