Old Powder Magazine, Arkengarthdale, North Yorkshire
This building was built in c1804. It was used to store the black powder (explosives) used in the nearby C B lead mines. They were established by Charles Bathurst. This is a rare survival from the great leadmining industry of Arkengarthdale.
