Museum of Lincolnshire Life, Burton Road, Lincoln, Lincolnshire
This building was built as a Militia barracks, armoury and store. It was built in 1857 by Henry Goddard the County Surveyor. It was built following the 1852 Militia Reform act as a secure store for the North Lincolnshire Militia. It was intended to provide a defensible base and centre for recruitment to meet the county's quota of militia recruits.
