Memorial to Atkinson children, Kirkwhelpington, Northumberland
This memorial is inscribed to the memory of 3 beloved children who died in 1833 of a fatal fever. Elizabeth died on July 31st aged 4 years, Jane died on August 9th aged one month and William died on August 17th aged 7 years. At this time many children died young. This however is a particularly tragic example.
