Grand Mansions viewed from The Leas. Grand Mansions (1899-1903) was designed and built by Daniel Baker of Folkestone, as a block of 'gentleman's residential chambers. The block had communal facilities on the ground floor and apartments on the upper floors. Situated in the Leas, the most fashionable part of town, it would have been prestigious accommodation in the early twentieth century. It is now the Grand Hotel.
