Former Deane Mills Institute, Bazley Street, Bolton, Greater Manchester

This educational institute and library was built by Thomas Bazley in 1846. It was to serve the model village of Barrow Bridge. The village was established in c1830 for workers at the nearby Deane mills. The village provided housing for some 300 of the workforce. There were also a canteen, bakery, baths and co-operative shop.
