Dyer Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire
A view from Dyer Street looking into the Market Place. The parish church of St John the Baptist with its imposing porch is in the background. The church dates from the early 12th century. It was built around the same time as the abbey which stood very close by. At the time this photograph was taken Cirencester was a busy market town with a wide selection of shops and thriving cattle market.
