Danesfield, Medmenham, Buckinghamshire
View of Danesfield from south-west across the lawn. The photograph was taken for Robert William Hudson, soap manufacturer. After purchasing Danesfield in 1897 (later named Danesfield House) he employed W Romaine Walker to assist in its rebuilding. The work on this country house, designed in a neo-Tudor style, started in 1899 and was completed in 1901. The house later became a hotel.
