Culloden Tower, Cravengate, North Yorkshire
This tower was built as a banqueting house. It was built by John Yorke I in 1746. It also commemorates the Battle of Culloden. This was fought on 16th April 1746. It was the last major battle between the Jacobites and the British government. The Scottish Jacobites wanted to put the Stuarts back on the British throne. The British throne and Parliament won an outright victory.
