Croft Infant School, Marshall Street, Alfreton, Derbyshire

Croft Infant School dates from 1900 and was designed by George Widdows. He was County Architect to Derbyshire in the early 20th century. He was a leading supporter of healthy school buildings. He designed schools whose classrooms allowed in plenty of light and air compared with earlier Victorian schools.
