Audley End House, Saffron Walden, Essex
A view of Audley End House and garden from the south-east. Audley End House was built for Thomas Howard, first Earl of Suffolk and Lord Treasurer to James I, between 1605 and 1614. The original house was built around two courtyards and has been greatly reduced in size over the years in order to make it more manageable. This property is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
