All Hallows, The Green, Ardeley, Hertfordshire
This cottage was built in 1917 by F. C. Eden for John Howard Carter of The Bury. It is one of several that are part of a picturesque scheme of housing. It is based on a similar scheme of picturesque housing that was created in Bristol at the Blaise Hamlet. This was designed in 1812 by John Nash and George Repton.
