109 Park Avenue, Kingston Upon Hull
This house dates from 1877-79. It was designed by George Gilbert Scott Junior in a Queen Anne style for John Spivey Cooper, his cousin and a Hull solicitor. It is part of a group of 8 houses by Scott, who was an early promoter of the Queen Anne style. He is better known for church architecture. These houses are said to be the sole surviving examples of his highly regarded domestic architecture. In the 1990s 3 of the buildings were derelict. This building has been split up into flats.
