Second daybook in Bedford Lemere's series including references to negatives BL03801-BL09000. The book was compiled between June 1883 and October 1888. The listings are arranged in number order with the exception of the block BL04001- BL04999 which appears at the end of the book, apparently because these negatives were a smaller size than the standard 12 x 10 inch (DD) Bedford Lemere glass plates. In general, the following information is provided for each of the entries within the book: A unique identifying number for each negative (this number is recorded as the original number in the alternative identifiers field on Amie); the size of the glass plate negative is intermittently provided; subject of the view, generally given in the form of building name and location details; the name of the architect or interior decorator is often given for newly constructed or refurbished buildings; whom the photograph was taken for; and the date of the photograph. For certain jobs the photographer is indicated by the use of initials in the sample book column. There is also a notes field for any other information.
In some cases entries in the book have been crossed through in red ink, indicating that the negatives have been destroyed. The date when this occurred is occaisionally included in the Notes field.
This is part of the Series: HBL01/03 Daybooks; within the Collection: HBL01 The Bedford Lemere Collection
