A collection of 7 black and white negatives showing the exterior of completed brick bungalows, in Spelthorpe, Surrey. The homes are traditional brick construction and appear to have been constructed outside of the programme of housing reconstruction undertaken in the immediate postwar years by the Ministry of Works. The original envelope lists the Ministry division as “M.o.H” This probably relates to the Ministry of Health, indicating that the properties were constructed under this departments control. As of 2020, the bungalows are still standing.
The original Ministry of Works storage envelope lists the operator as being “F".
The original negative sleeves show that H174/4 and H174/5 have been destroyed as they were duplicate images. Only 5 negatives were present.
3 of the 5 images were catalogued and digitised as part of a 2020 project.
This is part of the Sub Series: PSA01/04/H Housing; within the Series: PSA01/04 Negatives; within the Collection: PSA01 Property Services Agency
