274 sheets dating from 1954 to 2006. Most date from the 1970s and 1980s. Many derive from excavations made between 1967 and 1975 and include a number of sketches drawn in 1971-2 and later survey drawings from 1973-6, some of which are possibly for reproduction. There are also a series of drawings from the mid-1980s showing the excavated frater floor tiles.
There are smaller groups of sheets relating to general maintenance and repair, including strengthening of floor timbers in 1969-70. Some show additions to the site, such as several sheets from the mid-1970s relating to the installation of a new staircase in the north transept, and some mid-1980s sheets relating to toilet, heating and hot water facilities for the custodian's cottage.
Some sheets from the late-1970s relate to site interpretation, including several drawings for reproduction and display, and drawings illustrating the abbey's historic progression and use.
There are eighteen oversized sheets.
