Description

A box containing 14 envelopes which contain 200 items.

The dated items in the box were created between 1969 and 1980 but there are several undated items and sets which have been dated by relation to the others, the condition of the Abbey and suggested dates given on earlier enclosures. Most of the sets of prints show the Abbey before and during consolidation work, as well as general views of most of the abbey there are sets showing work in the chapter house, Abbots House, Infirmary and Huby's Tower.

77 prints in two sets show detail views of the inscriptions and carvings on Huby's Tower.

2 sets of prints show the approaches to the site from the west and the north and the works area. These prints are mainly given a location of Fountains Abbey Estate which is accurate to location level only.

There is one set of prints showing exterior details of the Abbey Mill which appears to be overgrown and unkempt
