Description
The Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England published a volume in 1959 entitled 'An Inventory of the Historical Monuments in the City of Cambridge'. This volume covered the Cambridge University Colleges, the city's churches, and secular structures.
This set of material comprises handwritten notes with accompanying sketches and photographs, small and large format negatives, that were created by the RCHME in the course of their investigations, and form an extensive resource for the study of historic buildings and monuments in the city.
