Description
Funds for a pilot survey were provided by Chester City Council, Cheshire County Council and the Chester Civic Trust, enabling a survey of all the Row buildings to be undertaken. During its latter stages, the project was primarily financed by EH and RCHME.
The results of the field work carried out by RCHME survey staff between 1985 - 1992, together with some of the other information gathered was deposited with Chester Archives and with the NMR.
The book "The Rows of Chester: the Chester Rows Research Project" was published in 1999 by EH.
