Description
The collection contains an estimated 25,000 35mm slides of parks and gardens recorded on the Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England.
It comprises systematic topographical coverage of gardens and associated structures in England taken 1980s-1990s by English Heritage staff for the Register. Contains views of many other garden-associated structures including follies, pavilions, sculpture, grottoes, fountains and includes spaces not associated with country houses such as amusement parks, public parks and the surroundings of scheduled monuments.
Archival History
The collection was transferred to the NMR in 2006.
