Description

The notebook dates from c.1925-1928, and contains notes on various sites of archaeological interest, mainly in Wessex and Scotland. These notes include measurements of long barrows, ditches, etc. The notebook also contains bibliographic references to many of the sites. The pages of the notebook are numbered 1-120. There are several pages of the notebook which contain 'Limericks on Windmill Hill'. It is likely that the notebook contains information used in the 1928 publication "Wessex from the Air" by Alexander Keiller and OGS Crawford.
