Description

This station was built as part of a branch line from Tewkesbury to Malvern, it opened on the 16th May 1864, replacing the Town's original 1840 terminus station on the High Street. The main station building, seen here on the right was on the southern platform serving Malvern, as well as a booking hall, waiting room and toilets, it also featured a substantial newspaper kiosk for passengers which can just be seen under the canopy. The station closed to passengers on the 14th August 1961, and for goods traffic in December 1964. The buildings have been demolished and all that remains are traces of the platforms, the site is heavily overgrown.
