Description

Snow Hill Railway Station was originally named Livery Street Station; it was renamed Snow Hill in 1858. The Great Western Hotel was added in the 1860s. The station was closed in the 1960s as part of the Beeching Axe closures. The hotel was demolished in 1969, and the majority of the station demolished in 1977. A new station was built on the site and opened in 1987.
