Description

Trinity Hospital was founded by Henry Howard and the almshouses were built between 1609-1614. The residents or 'Sisters' were required to wear a cloak and pointed hat to church on a Sunday. On the back of the prints, the photographer has written 'The Bedeswomen of Castle Rising'.
