Description

Laing's annual summer gala day was held on 30th June 1984 at the Laing Sports Club at Rowley Lane. The day included sporting competitions for adults and children, 31 stalls, charity events, and an evening barbecue. A 'Dunk-a-Director' event raised money for the NSPCC charity. Over 2,000 people attended the gala day.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
