In 2022-23 Historic England commissioned several photographers to work with local communities to capture images representative of their local high streets. This formed part of the Picturing High Streets project. In Tower Hamlets, Rehan Jamil was commissioned as photographer. He wrote the following text to describe his work on the project: "My project captures the community undergoing change. My focus on the three distinct groups—the children, local residents, and traders - provides a multi-faceted perspective on the dynamics of Petticoat Lane market and its surroundings in Tower Hamlets, London." This image is one of a series produced as a result of the residency, during a collaboration with pupils from Tiger Class at Canon Barnett Primary School. Rehan Jamil wrote the following text about these images: "The collaboration with Canon Barnett Primary school's Tiger Class was a valuable experience, allowing the children to engage with their community through the lens of photography. The resulting outdoor projection at Toynbee Hall in October 2022 was a wonderful way to showcase their perspectives to a broader audience." This photograph was taken by Khadija in collaboration with Rehan Jamil. Khadija says: "A picture of the owner of Potter and Reid, taking a picture of her coffee whilst my class friends also took pictures of her."
