Description

The site of the Lord Leycester Hospital was donated to the Guild of the Holy Trinity and St George by the Earl of Warwick in the 14th century. A guildhall built in the late 15th century was later incorporated into 16th century almshouses for retired soldiers, established by Earl of Leycester. The almshouses, which were restored in the 18th and 19th centuries, continue house retired soldiers in the 21st century.

Print has ID of 599.
