The Bridge, seen here, was designed by John Rennie and built between 1811 and 1817. It opened on 18th June 1817 and was originally known as the Strand Bridge. It was demolished in 1936. This is a mid 20th century copy, made by Herbert Felton of a Roger Fenton image of c.1854. See FEN01 for other images by Roger Fenton.
