Description

This collection comprises twenty-three colour glass plate positives produced using the Autochrome Lumiere process. The images all show gardens and garden structures, and probably date from between 1910 and 1930. There is no recorded information regarding the provenance or the photographer who created them.

The images cover gardens at Dyrham Park, Compton Wynyates in Warwickshire; The Hill, Camden; Abbotswood, Gloucestershire; Hampton Court, Richmond-upon-Thames; Tylney Park, Hampshire; Hatfield House, Hertfordshire; and Westonbirt House, Gloucestershire.
