Our External Advisers
Become an external adviser to inform, guide and challenge our work.
Are you looking for an opportunity to shape our future heritage advice and policies?
As an adviser you'll have a hands-on opportunity to help us protect England’s heritage. Through informing and influencing our future decisions you'll make a real difference to society and gain a unique insight into our work.
The advice provided by each expert adviser is vital to us, particularly as we seek to gain the widest range of perspectives to shape our advice and policies.
Through membership of one of our formal committees, or on a more ad hoc basis, you'll play a vital part in informing, guiding and challenging our work. You'll also provide knowledge and experience as a member of our wider Expert Advisory Group. You can read more about our individual committees.
Expert advisory roles
With a number of advisory groups, we often have opportunities for people with a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise from across the country to engage with and contribute to our work in championing historic places. Please see below for more details of each group and the opportunities we currently have available.
Please note that these appointments are not remunerated, although all reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed, in line with Historic England’s staff policy.
